EaStChem Cup – Final Post!

Hi all,

On behalf of ChemSoc I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who played and came to support yesterdays EaStChem cup and congratulations to the Edinburgh side who took home the cup!

The day wouldn’t have been possible without the organisation from Alistair McKinlay (our former president). Alistair put in a lot of work to get yesterdays event to run as smoothly as it did and it was very much appreciated.  So cheers Ali!

More ticket and BBQ info!

Just to let you all know – the BBQ for EaStChem will be kicking off at 6 pm and this is will be  a bring your own bottle event.

The tickets are still on sale so its not too late if you would like to join us for a bite to eat.  You can purchase them from Mike in office 311 (its in the purdie with a wooden door, just knock!) for a cost of £3.

More EaStChem Cup news…

Hi All,

a quick update about the EaStChem Cup -

It’s being held here in St Andrews next Thursday (23rd July) and  we’re still looking for players to sign up.  You and your team mates can do this on the sheet opposite the ChemSoc shop,next to the common room, or using the link on the right hand side (under ‘pages’).  As an added incentive, those playing or supporting will get free entrance to the post-tournament BBQ.    Just remember the deadline for signing up is this Friday 17th July.

If you absolutely can’t get away from work to support the teams at the Sports Centre, ChemSoc will also be providing a BBQ after the tournament to give you chance to meet the players.  We only have a limited number of tickets and they
cost £3 each.  Tickets will be on sale on *Thursday 16th July* from the ChemSoc shop from *11.00-11.30am*, 1.00-1.30pm* and *4.00-4.30pm*.  After that, any remaining tickets will be available from Michael in office 311.

New Event: Pubcrawl

Hi Everyone,

We’re kicking off the new events calender with a ChemSoc pubcrawl!

Come meet us in The Rule for nibbles at 7.30 pm. We plan to follow on to Drouthy Neebors (approx. 8.30 pm), then the Raisin (approx. 9.30pm ) followed by main bar in the union (10.30 pm) and the bop.

If you can’t meet us at the rule – just follow the stop list and look out for our snazzy new ChemSoc t-shirts.

We’ve invited the other science societies along so it will be a great chance to get to know your new committee, the society, as well as mingle with undergraduates/postgraduates from other departments.
